DORMILÓN
Dormilón is a 2023 Project Involve short film.
Now in its 30th year, Project Involve is Film Independent's acclaimed diversity and inclusion program under Artist Development. The program fosters the careers of talented filmmakers, including writers, directors, producers, editors, cinematographers, executives and festival programmers, from communities traditionally underrepresented in the film industry. Project Involve is a prestigious nine-month program that brings together up to thirty-five filmmakers annually to create six high production value shorts. Project Involve shorts have won prominent festival awards and been distributed by HBO Max, The New Yorker and PBS. Fellows are also provided invaluable mentorship, masterclasses and hands-on filmmaking experience.
Alumni include Effie T. Brown (The Inspection), Linda Yvette Chávez (Flamin’ Hot), Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians), Marvin Lemus (Gentefied), Justin Simien (Dear White People) and Lulu Wang (The Farewell).
